Where tradition meets spontaneity—dancing with the music, not just to it.

Rhythm in Motion

Improvisational Irish, Highland & SeanNós Dancer | Live Band Collaborator

I am a solo performer weaving Irish, Highland, and Sean‑Nós traditions into a living conversation with live musicians. My dance is rooted in history but fearlessly spontaneous, creating authentic, unrepeatable moments of energy for festivals and cultural events. I don’t just dance to the music; I dance with it, inviting the unexpected.

Marcel | Dance Improv Maestro

Speaking the Language of Music, Step by Step

My journey started in 2013, driven by a hunger to feel the cultural heartbeat of every step. I dove deep into percussive traditions, expanding into Highland Dance (2019) and the earthy, improvisational freedom of Sean‑Nós (2020).

But the rhythm didn’t start with my feet.

I began playing piano and violin at age five, discovering the world of Celtic music in 2007. I taught myself fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhrán, and am currently coaxing life from the Great Highland Bagpipes.

Why does this matter? Because I don’t just hear the music; I speak it. When I dance with a live band, I’m not an outsider watching the tempo—I’m a peer in the session. I understand the ornamentation, the structure, and the soul of the tune before the first note lands. This allows me to improvise in real-time, weaving movement and melody into a seamless, unrepeatable fusion.

The Full Spectrum: Forget the rigid lines of Riverdance. I embrace the full arc: the melodic grace of Soft Shoe (Reels, Jigs), the driving punch of Hard Shoe, and the raw, earthy freedom of Sean‑Nós. I transition between them as the band breathes, matching their energy in the moment.

Let’s create something unforgettable.
